Practical Feldenkrais with Francesca White C.F.P.
MP3 Downloadable file
A program introducing simple Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement lessons to help you learn how to reach intelligently, using the support from your entire skeleton in order to avoid strain and injury in your arms and shoulders.
These two movement lessons are designed to help open the chest and shoulders, to ease and improve the function of reaching. You may find that other areas become more flexible as a result, such as your neck and lower back.
Sports and activities such as golf, tennis, swimming and bowling depend on mobile shoulders and spines. These will be enhanced by learning how to connect reaching, throwing, pulling, and lifting through your shoulders into your spine and pelvis, to avoid overuse or injury.
Like all Feldenkrais ATM lessons, there are general feelings of well being which rapidly improve your lifestyle as you continue exploring the Method.
Introduction: How to get the most out of these lessons.
Lesson 1: Intelligent Reaching (44 minutes).
This lesson is done lying on your back and lying on your side on a carpeted floor. At times you will need a folded towel for support under your head.
Lesson 2: Arm Opening Like a Wing (32 minutes).
This lesson is done lying on your back and on your side on a carpeted floor. At times you will need a folded towel for support under your head.
Pause at any point to clarify a section of the lesson, or to rest between movements.
